The decor in Harvey's has a nostalgic feel of a roaring fire in a log cabin where you come for a hearty meal. And the food does not disappoint.
Initially we were a little confused with the menu as the meat prices are listed per 100 grams, but in fact you won’t know what your meal will cost you until you’re served. The waiter was very patient and explained it all but we decided to go with a different dish in the end.
We were a party of four and the ladies opted for the grilled chicken salad which had a very generous portion of chicken. In fact, the salad was so big, that even when eaten as a main dish was difficult to finish and we enjoyed the rest for lunch the next day. The crunchy onion topping was delicious. The men chose Grilled Chicken Breast which was glazed with “Jack & Coke” BBQ sauce and served with yam chutney, coleslaw and a choice of house fries, rice with smoked brisket baked beans or green salad. The beans were rather spicy but delicious nonetheless.
Highly recommend Harvey’s.
